OUR PEOPLE OUR PLACE
From Monday 4th June – Saturday 9th June the Council and partners including NHS Ayrshire & Arran, South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue and the voluntary sector are coming together to deliver local services right in the heart Girvan
We want to make it easier for you to access the public services you need.
Our People, Our Place will see the partners using Girvan Academy, Invergarven, Girvan Primary, Sacred Heart Primary and Girvan Community Centre as local community hubs where a wide range of drop-in services, as well as targeted support, will be available to families and individuals.
Services will be available to everyone living in the area – not just those with children in the schools.
Drop-in services including benefits support, employability and skills, health and wellbeing, housing support, mental health support for young people, and social work will be available at various times throughout the week.

The week will end with a Fun and Information Day.
Saturday 9th June: 10am – 2pm.
All the partners will be present to provide support and advice and there will also be activities for children and young people including:
West FM Roadshow. Nerf Wars. Sport Taster Sessions. Roller Disco. Free Refreshments. Food Demonstrations. DIY Skills. Book Bug> Lego Club. Climbing Wall. It’s A Knock Out. Carousel. Outdoor Stage Performances.
Market Stalls including support and services to older people and those living with a disability, local groups and others.
And if all that isn’t enough, there’s Free swimming at the after party at The Quay Zone.
