The Scottish Maritime Museum In Irvine is a great day out in Ayrshire for all the family to enjoy.

Located at Irvine's Harbourside you will find exhibitions and ship models and much more. The collections include shipbuilding machinery and machine tools, small boats, canoes, lifeboats, and much more. A visit also includes a tour to the the shipyard workers' tenement flat, restored to its pre-1920s appearance.

For children they can bulid there own model boat and sail it in our indoor boating facility. There are also some great childrens events on throughout the year including our annual pirate event in July, craft mornings throughout the year, our model boat exhibition and our annual Halloween event.
