The Old School Dalleagles offers superior bed and breakfast in Ayrshire.

Our unique accommodation, as the name suggests, was once a primary school, now enjoying a new lease of life as a quality bed and breakfast establishment. 

The Old School Dalleagles is set in 2 acres of garden, mainly laid to lawn and enclosed on 3 sides by mature Scots pine and birch trees.

It faces across the Nith Valley with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and rolling hills. As it has a westerly aspect the views of the sunsets can be breathtaking. It is situated 3 miles off the main A76 route between Dumfries and Kilmarnock.

This recently refurbished establishment offers three individually furnished en-suite letting bedrooms of various sizes and configurations including a romantic four poster master bedroom, which is perfect for couples spending a Bed and Breakfast honeymoon or romantic touring holiday.

The Old School Dalleagles is also an excellent base for longer stays for leisure activities such as sightseeing, golfing and fishing holidays.

The school closed its doors for the last time on 17th June 1983. We moved into the school in June 2009 and since then have been busy getting it ready for our new venture to provide a magnificent venue for holidaymakers requiring quality bed and breakfast service.

The spacious master bedroom has a four poster wrought iron bed with matching bedside tables. It enjoys high ceilings with two large SE facing windows, plus original school skylight.

A seating area with sofa and TV has been provided. The large en-suite bathroom features a roll top bath and has a large shower in separate enclosure. The heated towel rail and illuminated mirror are standard in all rooms.

The double bedroom has a King size bed. It has two SE facing windows. A seating area with sofa and TV has been provided.  The en-suite bathroom features a “P” shaped bath with shower enclosure. The heated towel rail, wall heater and illuminated mirror are standard in all bathrooms.

This room has a connecting door via the bathroom to the Science room, which can be utilised by a group or family needing extra accommodation.

The twin bedroom has two single beds which can be connected to form a SuperKing size bed. It has two SE facing windows. A seating area with sofa and TV has been provided. The en-suite shower room features a quadrant shower enclosure. The heated towel rail, wall heater and illuminated mirror are standard in all bathrooms. This room has a connecting door via the bathroom to the History room, which can be utilised by a group or family needing extra accommodation.
