ARDROSSAN MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Ardrossan Music Experience is now in its 2nd year and will feature two great concerts; on 24 May blues music fans will be treated to an amazing line-up which includes Hamilton Loomis, Larry Miller and the Nimmo Brothers .

Then on 25 May pop and jazz aficionados will thoroughly enjoy the sounds of JJ Gilmour with his band, the Hummingbirds and TJ Johnson. The AME also have two workshops for school children; a guitar technique master class with Hamilton Loomis on 23 May and a song writing workshop on 24 May with Jinky (JJ) Gilmour. Acclaimed guitar makers Bailey will showcase their wonderful range of guitars both electric and acoustic and will also host an open-mic session in the marquee from 10am to 4pm on 25 May.

SOUNDS OF GLEN MILLER ERA - NICK ROSS ORCHESTRA

Recapture the sounds and memories of a bygone era as the Nick Ross Orchestra present an unmissable evening of music and song, the classic Big Band Sound of the Glenn Miller Era. With a line-up of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, a rhythm section and singers, the Nick Ross Orchestra faithfully recreate the Big Band sound of the 1940s.

CLUB AMERICANA : WOODY PINES

These Club Americana favourites make a welcome return to the hac, the last time Woody Pines toured here reviewers declared them to be one of the most entertaining acts on the Americana circuit.

They've been praised for their “fiery moonshine spirit that sparkles with feelgood freshness” and legendary radio presenter ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris is a fan and after playing tracks from their last album, Counting Alligators, told listeners to his BBC Radio 2 show, he thought they were “superb”

Will Bailey needs little introduction. Since the early years of this millennium he's been producing some of the finest bass music around, whilst touring the globe and rocking some of the world's best parties – from EDC in Los Angeles to Womb in Tokyo.

KILMARNOCK'S DIRTY WEEKENDER

Kilmarnock's Dirty Weekender returns in 2013 building on the success of 2012's festival.

THIRD DEGREE BURNS

Organised by award winning local singer-songwriter and musician Little Fire Third Degree Burns is an all day event at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway celebrating the works of Robert Burns with a whole host of celebrated Scottish talent paying tribute to his works as well as performing their own original material .

Workshops and masterclasses take place during the day including storytelling,poetry and songwriting and in the evening the Paul McKenna Band, Little Fire, Alan Frew, Gerry Cambridge Macanta and more will be performing interpretations of Burns work as well as original material.

Fully licensed bar and hot food available. All ages welcome.

CLUB AMERICANA : - HILFOLK NOIR

One of the hardest-working bands on the US roots music circuit, Hillfolk Noir from Boise, Idaho, have built themselves a huge Stateside following playing what has been described as music “filtered through a country-tinged, swampy-swingin’, hillbilly-delta-blues-ragtime word machine”.

They were widely recognised as one of the highlights of last year's SXSW in Austin, Texas and created a big impression when they toured here for the first time straight afterwards. This will be the trio’s back-by-popular demand return to the UK and Ireland with a brand new CD.

Music of the Hollies - Performed by The Hollywood Bees

The show, now in it’s third year, has received standing ovations in theatres and festivals and features music from the early years of The Hollies – the Clarke and Nash years.

THE HOLLYWOOD BEES are not so much a tribute, more a celebration of the band who had more hits than the Beatles. They perform the songs which influenced The Hollies style, from The Everly Bros and Buddy Holly to Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen as well as the self penned hits.
