The Kilmarnock Edition Friday night featuring: KASSIDY. EL DOG. SUSPIRE. MECHANICAL SMILE Kassidy - mark the arrival of a major new talent in British music. Their debut LP, Hope St, is an exciting & vivid aural montage that is touched with beauty, optimism and despair. The band originally formed as an occasional acoustic collective, four close friends with diverse musical interests who were involved in various bands and projects in their native Glasgow. El Dog - A Glasgow-based four-piece with a prodigious imagination equalled only by their musicianship, they formed in 2003 at Glasgow`s legendary Nice & Sleazy open mic night. The band released their second album "Hey Werewolves" on the 10th of November. Suspire - an indie/alternative rock 'n' roll trio from Glasgow. Their latest single, Salvation Sister - produced by Echo and The Bunnymen guitarist, Gordy Goudie won an award for 'best alternative/indie recording of the year' at the SNMAs. Mechanical Smile - are two guys and two girls from Ayrshire, combining rock, pop and grunge to create a melodic and pulsating sound that will blow you away! Tickets £9. |

The Dirty Edition will be held over three days and split across Dirty Martinis and Bakers Nite Club Kilmarnock, bringing you more than 18 great acts. It will play host to some internationally renowned acts along with some of the brightest talent to emerge from Scotlands diverse music scene. Headline acts include Ocean Colour Scene and Paul Weller guitarist Steve Cradock, Orange Unsigned winner Tommy Reilly and local musical legends The Longhorns. The bill also includes hot tips for 2012 The Imagineers, Tragic O'hara and Jamie Keenan of The Lafontaines. Dirty Martini's will host the Friday and Saturday giving an up close and intimate feel to proceedings, the Sunday is being held at Bakers Nite Club with an aftershow party featuring Northern Soul DJ's and a set from Steve Cradock himself. The Kilmarnock Edition Saturday night featuring: THE VIEW. WOODEN BOX WITH A FISTFUL OF FIVERS. WHAT THE HEROES SAY. SONIC TEMPLARS. The View - One of the most exciting young rock bands in a generation.
Kyle Falconer on vocals and rhythm guitar, Kieren Webster on bass, Peter Reilly on lead guitar and Steve Morrison on drums got together and recorded an EP with a local label. On the strength of this success they went on to sign with James Endeacott's 1965 label through Columbia. Woodenbox With A Fistful of Fivers - Hailing from various parts of Scotland, and now based in Glasgow, Woodenbox' thrilling "folk-blues with a mariachi twist", has seen them garner a reputation as one of Scotland's most compelling live acts. What the Heroes Say - Formed in the summer of 2008 the band have gone from strength to strength performing their increasingly impressive live sets to audiences up and down the UK and headlining their first ever gig at the legendary King Tuts in Glasgow. The band have also recently supported Irish rockers ASH at the ABC in Glasgow. Sonic Templars - Sonic Templars have only been together for a short period of time, but that has not stopped them amassing a large and loyal following "Sonic Templars are one of the best bands I`ve ever had on my show, their live performance is incredible! Glasgow's Soul Band - Counselled Out - recently celebrated their 21st anniversary with commemorative concerts at The Ferry, Glasgow and the Grand Hall, Kilmarnock.
The Train Wreckers created their own USSR (Unlimited Surfin' Swingin' Rock n country roll) musical genre. Their diverse style has won the band many fans. They have support a variety of acts such as Alvin Stardust to punk legends Stiff Little Fingers and headlined gigs throughout the UK.
Presenting the rich, distinctive voice of Dominic Kirwan, truly one of the finest performers Ireland has ever produced.
