Come warmly dressed arriving early gates open 5.15pm with entertainment from 5.30pm through to the main display at 7pm. Plan to walk as parking is limited and local streets will be closed or parking restricted.
Bring a torch and come to enjoy yourself.. Allow time to get into the event as we want everyone to have a safe event we reserve the right to search.
We won't allow glass, alcohol, pets or DIY fireworks including sparklers on site.
Younger children must have a responsible person with them. Parents please ensure your child has a note of a mobile number or similar incase you get separated on the night. See you all on the night by following this guidance and stay safe.

Watch the re-enactment by Living History, and learn about the magnificent story of how the lands of Kilmarnock came to be, and the important role this strategic Castle had to play in the development of Scotland's history!

The Cairngorm Reindeers are back and the procession will start 1pm

. Ayr Central is hosting a very special warm up for this year's Ayrshire Cancer Support Santa Dash, when around 150 Santas will be limbering up at the centre. It will be a sight not to be missed! Warm up will begin at 2:30pm prompt! Once the Santa's sent off, West FM will take over proceedings from 3pm, Tortuga, the Busker Competition winners will be performing, as well as one other act yet to be confirmed.

Last, but certainly not least, the dazzling Christmas lights will be switched on at 5pm sharp.

Starting and finishing at Ayr Central Shopping Centre, the 5k route will take you down the High Street, along the Esplanade and back along the High Street in time to enjoy the entertainment from West Sound Radio and more.

. We will provide you with a free Santa outfit that is yours to keep. There will be prizes for the best customised suit and everyone will receive a fantastic commemorative medal. The day starts with the Parade through the town from Templehill at 12.30 where we are joined at the Cross by Santa on the back of the RNLI Inshore Craft. Lead by the 1st Troon BB Championship Pipe Band and follow the main routes round town. Portland St., Church St., Academy St., and finish in Ayr St.,

Hopefully Mrs Claus who is such a help to Santa will be on the back of the float and as Santa leaves to go into the RNLI Fayre Mrs Claus will be busy in Room 1 in the Old Parish Church in Ayr St. Dancing schools will be putting on displays and the Young Fiddlers led by Wallace Galbraith. Other events going on in Seagate Church, St Patricks School and Ivy Cottage for teas & coffees. We aim to have Emergency vehicles situated in Templehill for young folk to view. The RNLI are positioning their prize draw Subaru at that point and after the Christmas Lights switch on a "celebrity" will pick the winning ticket!
