TURNBERRY BEACH RUGBY 

With smaller pitches, fewer players and less rules to remember, beach rugby is easily accessible to anyone who wants to get up and give rugby a try. TBR started in 2012 and set out to get local people excited about playing rugby. It is now an annual festival-like event with interest having grown rapidly over the first three years. Teams from throughout Scotland and beyond come together to put on a sporting spectacle.

The 2015 event features -Beach Rugby. Mixed Beach Volleyball. Weekend Camping. Live Music. Friday Camping - Access to full camping facilities and music all weekend £20. Friday night entry - Access Friday night music £5. Saturday Camping - Access to full camping facilities & Saturday night music £20 U16's – FREE. Day Entry - Access to beach entertainment £5. Night Entry - Access Saturday night music £5.

The Garden Party is an utterly unique and magical event in a spectacular setting on Scotland's West Coast – the grounds and glen around a 13th century painted castle!

Enjoy the thrill of travelling in a brake van behind one of our working steam locomotives along a short section of the former Dalmellington Iron Company's main railway line. View our extensive collection of steam and diesel locos and other items of rolling stock. The Museum has narrow gauge items of rolling stock, photographic displays and a working model steam railway.

We even have a model railway for the children to play with. The Souvenir Shop has many items at pocket money prices especially for our younger visitors. The Cafe serves teas, coffee, soft drinks and snacks all day during Steam Days. Free Car Park.

WEST COAST RALLY

A top day out for the family, West Coast Rally 15 is hosted by AutoScots, West Coast Jaguar and ARRG. Supporting Cash for Kids, it is one of the fastest growing events on the Scottish calendar, and is open to all classic, performance and modified cars, plus bikes and commercials, with awards in all categories.

Other attractions include showring entertainment, food, trade stands and kids' amusements.

BALLANTRAE SMUGGLER'S FESTIVAL 2015

Ballantrae's Smugglers' Festival, now in its third year, is inspired by stories about smugglers from Ballantrae and the surrounding area in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

This year's festival is for the whole family and will include a short story competition, a Smugglers' Market; a Children's Smugglers Day; the launch of a Smugglers' Trail, a Primary School Smugglers' Day; a "Smugglers' Supper with whisky tasting, wine tasting & entertainment (an event for adults); "Music Poetry and Smuggling Stories" (a family event); a skiff chase; "Searching for the Contraband" (coasteering); a Craft Fayre; a Strongman Challenge and the lighting of a Smugglers' Beacon. The Festival will also, once again, feature the popular Ballantrae Smuggler Scarecrows

A family weekend with lots of events including sandcastle competitions, crabbing for the kids, fancy dress, Millport's got Talent plus Grand evening firework display. Houses, shops, restaurants and pubs join the fun on Saturday evening with themed windows and street entertainmanti and street theatre.
