When you buy from a farmers market, you can talk directly to the producer, be sure that the produce is fresh and prepared to the highest standard.
You can also be sure that the sum paid is going to the farmer / producer and not to middlemen or on unnecessary packaging. It is important to remember that by using these venues that you are supporting the local economy and sustaining local jobs.
