May
| Darvel music festival | ||
This year’s fantastic line-up includes two of Scotland’s favourite bands from the ‘golden age’ of Scottish pop music of the late 80’s and throughout the 90’s, namely Love and Money and the Big Dish. These bands were joined during this period by an elite list of luminaries such as Simple Minds, Aztec Camera, Deacon Blue, Danny Wilson and Hipsway, all of whom are fondly remembered and some still performing. Love and Money under the stewardship of music maestro James Grant also decided to get back together for a few concerts and their 6 May performance will provide two full sets, one of their new album and the other with older musical gems

Darvel Music Festival.
The lure of performing again was the catalyst for Big Dish to reform for a one-off show at Celtic Connections in January but they enjoyed it so much they agreed to perform again at the Darvel event on 5 May. The support act for this gig are Red Sky July, a new band led by Texas guitarist and founder member Ally McErlaine.
